Stage 2 Performance Injectors & Turbo Package Deal
The stage 2 and turbo package deal is good for up to 440hp. Ideal for light to moderate towing and a good street performance package.
The difference in the stage 2 is the 80 or 100 percent over larger nozzles. The larger nozzle allows more fuel to exit the injector quicker into the combustion cycle which increases horsepower even further. The injector has a limited time to inject fuel into the cylinder for the combustion cycle. We measure this time in milliseconds. With a larger nozzle we can inject more fuel per millisecond into the cylinder for combustion, which creates more power. The downside to a larger nozzle is the extra fuel creates more heat and black smoke. So the larger the nozzle the more EGT's are created and the need for more air upgrades are needed.
KC300x 66mm
This turbo will surprise you at how well it runs! We have torture tested it for longevity, proven its capability on the dyno and at the Race Track. The 1.0 A/R Housing is intended to cool your EGTs above 3000 RPMS, for dedicated tow rigs and daily drivers the .84 A/R housing will provide a quicker spool and cooled EGT's below 3000 RPMs.
This is a journal bearing turbo with a KC Turbos 300x turbine wheel, modified to fit inside a drop in ready Super Duty turbo.

Good, bad and the ugly
They are good people there at full force. The injectors I got on the other had not so much. Nothing but problems since install, and after hundreds of unneeded money spent trying to figure out what the problem is I finally got to the point to where the only this left was Injectors. Did a few test they asked for. Behold the bad injectors. Now to the part that's getting under my skin, been talking to a guy there and they said to send them back so they can be gone through. But I am still waiting for a shipping label that they said hey would provide through email 2days ago. Otherwise great people, vary helpful and friendly. Five stars once I get my truck fixed.

Just Buy It, You wont regret it
Very impressed with this setup, no comparison to the stock setup. Little over 30 lbs of boost, plenty of power, very little smoke, shifts great with the tunes that came with it for the Hydra. Makes the old truck fun to drive again.

Q:
How do I decide what chip i need for this kit? Is the original marked ts or hydra?
Asked by:
Richie morgan
- 12/7/2018
A:
You choose which chip you prefer. You will have to run tuning for the single shot injectors with one of these chips if you currently do not have one. To see the difference between the two just search each in the store search bar.

Q:
Do I need a bigger or updated hpop for this setup?
Asked by:
Herald Smith
- 2/9/2022
A:
A stock HPOP is typically good enough to run the stage 2 injectors but that will depend on how much degraded your HPOP has become.

Q:
What type of tunes come with the gear head hydra low smoke tune ? I use my ford to tow daily but i want power when i need to .
Asked by:
Dan
- 7/25/2022
A:
Heavy Tow
Towing up to the trucks capacity but with better economy than stock
High Idle
Aids warm-up and running accessories with heavy electrical demand or better air conditioner performance in the summer time on long periods of idling
Stealth
Quiet idle mode, good for drive throughs. Not meant to be driven in or idled for extended periods of time.
Tow/Economy
Gains about 40 HP over stock can usually tow up to 10,000 lbs. but user should watch Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) on long hills if towing 7,000 lbs. and above.
Street Muscle
Gains 80-100 HP over stock and runs about 1300 degrees max with an exhaust and intake installed
Street Fury
Good for extra passing power (must watch EGT) and sprints from stoplight to stoplight without belching tons of smoke
All Out
This file definitely scoots with a stab of the throttle, with power gains over tune 5. This does depend on the condition of your High Pressure Oil Pump (HPOP) and its availability to produce enough volume to the injectors.

Q:
I have an 01 Excursion 7.3 L. 260k miles California emissions. It is mostly stock engine wise. So far the only modifications I have done are: Bellowed up pipes(Standard size) EBP pedestal delete and SCT X4 with standard tunes. It does have taller leaf springs and 20" wheels in it now. I want to do some upgrades because I am pulling the motor to do the oil Pan. I was looking at your Injector/turbo upgrade package. I would like to get as much reasonable performance as possible without sacrificing fuel economy too much. I do some moderate towing of a bass boat and enclosed trailer occasionally and maybe a big camper once in a while. So I was looking at the 400 hp street tow package and the 440 hp package. what would you recommend?
Asked by:
Lee
- 5/12/2020
A:
The 400hp is probably a better solution for you. If you do want the stage 2 you can stay with a 80% nozzle.
