The Sun Coast SC-5RC1 Category 1 Billet Torque Converter is the ideal choice for drivers of 6.4L Powerstroke vehicles 2008-2010. It’s specially designed features provide maximum power and efficiency and ensure a strong, reliable connection between engine and transmission. The torque converter uses a unique balloon plate that offers greater strength with fewer components, while its 4140 hardened hub offers enhanced durability. For extra durability and reliability it also features furnace-brazed fins to reduce vibration, as well as 3 carbon-graphitic clutch discs for smoother shifts.
The billet lockup apply piston ensures precision performance every time you use your vehicle, and the CNC-machined billet steel cover enhances overall protection from debris. Precision performance is further achieved through pressurized hot soak leak testing, computer-balancing within .01 grams for increased stability at high speed or heavy load situations, and a Torrington thrust bearing stator design to provide maximum lubrication when operating in reverse applications.
