The 7.3 Powerstroke Stage 1.5 injectors are very popular for towing and everyday driving with a little more power than the stage 1 and still keep low smoke levels. The stage 1.5 achieves more power with the larger nozzle but they are still a great choice for towing and without stress on the stock drivetrain. The power made is very noticeable in all driving conditions from off idle to full throttle.
Stage 1.5 injectors features new 30% larger nozzle and plunger barrel assemblies for long life and predictable performance. The new single shot design is more efficient and requires a custom tuned chip to achieve the best performance. Power increases are up to 200 hp over a stock truck without any prior modifications. Fuel mileage may increase up to 1-2 mpg depending on driving style and driving conditions.

180cc vs 160cc:
180cc is the best choice for most 1999-2003 trucks. The only time we recommend the 160cc injectors is in high altitude locations or for the customer that don't want a large power increase. The only benefit of the 160cc is the 99-03 is converting to a more efficient single shot injector with a very small bump in power. The stock injectors have an effective flow rate of 122cc.
New Gearhead Low Smoke Tuning. We now offer low smoke *Clean tuning. In a time when clean tuning is more desired we've step up to the plate. The days of "Clouds of Black Smoke" are behind us. We have partnered with a very reputable tuning company for the lowest/minimal smoke with modified injectors while maintaining optimal power output. Normal driving will yield very low smoke levels and very good power. Foot to the floor will make moderate smoke on the highest setting. Results of this custom tuning typically results in very good smoke control but smoke may vary. Tunes included are hi-idle, heavy tow, tow, street, hot street, and extreme. During the order process please indicate any further tune request you may need. HPOP, Transmission, etc. They will be custom written for each truck.

If you currently do not have a Hydra or TS Chip, select a Hydra or TS Chip option. This is required to convert the computer to a single shot fuel injector program. All tunes will add the appropriate power. Tunes included (*for most trucks) Heavy Tow, Hi idle, Light tow, Daily, Race and Extreme tunes.
If you are purchasing the Jelibuilt Tuned Hydra you will need to let us know which tunes you would like. Enter tune names of the 6 tunes you would like in the comments section at checkout. If you do not enter the tunes you want we will send 6 of the normally requested tunes which are; Daily, High Idle, Tow Performance, Strenuous Tow, Hot Street and Drag Race.
Reburn my chip for free: If you have a Hydra or TS Chip we'll put our tunes for the injectors onto your chip. Select "free reflash" meaning you send us your chip (Hydra or TS) and we will reprogram and send it back to you. Hydra emailed tunes ($60) is just that we encrypt the tunes and email them to you for self install. Our Standard tunes typically work great on most trucks. In some cases, our Standard tuning may not work exactly the way you would like. Example: Shifting to hard, to soft, to soon, to late, etc.. At this point your truck would require custom tuning so that you can get tune revisions within 30 days of purchase from the custom tuning company. We cannot revise nor make any changes to our Standard tuning.
