Q: Are the injectors 180cc or 160cc?
Q: I am trying to determine the best chip option for this combination with the addition of a cold air intake and turbo back 4 in exhaust. I am running a stock automatic transmission at the moment and I will and do pull a full load for the truck with gooseneck trailers and a fifth wheel rv.
A: First off we'd recommend the Hydra chip. You can do the standard tunes but it might be a bit to smokey for the fifth wheel. For optimal power and low smoke we'd suggest the Hydra Chip with the low smoke tunes. You could also wait to get the low smoke tunes when you upgrade the transmission if you plan to do that. Then you'll need the custom tunes then.
Q: My 7.3 2001 motor has close to 200000 is stage 1.5 to much
A: No stage 1.5 is a mild injector and won't be a problem for you.
Q: I have edge cts for my 2001 f350. How could I make this work if I bought it? 88 compressor wheel with larger injectors will I need a hpop higher pressure pump to atomize fuel for larger injectors?
A: You can only use the CTS for gauges once you install your new injectors. These injectors can be ran by a health stock pump.
Q: does this come with the turbo intake boot ?
Q: I’m interested in upgrading my injectors with this system, but I already have an Edge REVOLVER 6-POSITION PERFORMANCE CHIP. Can it be programmed to run the single shot?
Q: I am upgrading my injectors to the stage 1.5 will my bully dog programmer work with these injectors
A: No you will need either the Hydra or the TS chip.
Q: I have a 2000 Ford F-250 7.3 with an edge cts2 chip I’m wondering if I did get injectors can I use them with that chip and if so how can I program it to be able to, once I have installed the injectors
A: We can't put injector tunes on the CTS. You'll need to choose a TS or Hydra.
Q: I have a 2001 dully that tows 75% of the time. 185K miles, had a banks complete system with inner cooler installed when new not bad but not the power I expected. and now way down on power. Thinking about 1.5 injectors with upgraded phase 2 turbo. What chip would you suggest, with ph. 2 turbo can motor spool faster for low end power.
A: The Hydra chip from the drop down menu is what you'll need. Since you tow so much we'd recommend the Gearhead Low Smoke tuned Hydra.
Q: What is the best way to get the core charge
A: Not sure I understand the question but your core charge will be returned to you in 2-4 days after we get your core back.
Q: the injectors are 180cc but what is the nozzle size and can it be swapped/ upgraded to a larger nozzle later on
A: Nozzle size on all Stage 1.5 is a 30%. You can send them in for a fee to have larger nozzles put on later.
Q: Will this fit my 2002 excursion with no modifications? Also which chip do you recommend? Its a daily driver with occasional trips to Glamis or Pismo beach.
A: It will work with your excursion. The best is to all the Hydra chip from the drop down menu.
Q: Will I need to upgrade oil pump with this kit? If so which one and price. Also will the stock fuel pump supply enough fuel?
A: Your stock oil pump can provide enough flow for this setup if it's in good working order now. Stock fuel pump is enough as well as long as it too is performing near factory new levels.
Q: Stock 2001 7.3 with a Hydra tuner- do I need a new bigger inter cooler with this set up? If ships to the speed shop is there still a core charge?
A: There is always a core charge. The factory intercooler is fine for these injectors and turbo.
Q: How many miles will the 1.5 stage injectors last
what is the life span
A: Depends on your maintenance. If you follow factory schedules you can expect 150k-250k from our reman injectors.
Q: What brand o rings are included
Q: I plan on ordering this kit with the hydra with 1023 tunes. Will it come tuned for the single shot injectors or do I need to specify?
A: If ordered with this package it'll come tuned for it.
Q: Do I have to have a chip or can I run it without for awhile. Plan on getting on just not at this time
A: You'll have to get the tuning with it.
