It is crazy what modern turbo technology can do to a 20 year old turbo design. Most people focus too much on the "compressor wheel" because that is what everyone can see, but the fact of the matter is 90% of the "turbo magic" comes from the turbine side of the turbo, and we did our due diligence to make this the best option on the market. In addition, we increased the thickness of the shaft to support the extra power and help make our turbos even more robust. No other drop in 7.3 turbo on the market runs a larger shaft, (6.4mm vs 7.5mm). This is a larger 7x7 wheel and is modeled after the 366sxe compressor wheel... same profile, shape, and blade style, except it is reverse rotation. This wheel is not only bigger, but stronger.
The 1.0 A/R Housing is intended to cool your egts above 3000 RPMS, for dedicated tow rigs and daily drivers the .84 A/R housing will provide a quicker spool and cooled EGT's below 3000 RPMs.

I already have the stage 1.5 injectors, will I need the retune my ts chip for this turbo? And when will they be available?

A:
No you don't need a retune. This turbo is being redesign now. No know date for the return of this product. We suggest getting the GTP38R if you need an upgrade now.
