The OBS Ford 7.3 Powerstroke 1994-1997 did not come with a factory mount intercooler system. Instead Ford decided that the turbo would be sufficient with the larger 1.15 turbo turbine housing. Although it probably helped out some it did not cure EGT problems for a modified truck.
Installing the Atlas Diesel OBS Intercooler Kit will get you lower EGT's, better fuel economy and more power. Cooling the intake charge air will improve oxygen availability. So the more oxygen with the cooler air equals more burned fuel and less black smoke.
This kit is a bolt on design. Comes with brackets for the intercooler, power steering cooler and AC Condenser.
Features:
Bar & Plate Design
3" Aluminum Piping
Adds 20 HP & 40 Ft Lbs. to a stock truck (more if modified)
All Mounting Hardware
Direct Fit Bolt On (Some trimming is required)
Intercooler Specs:
3" Inlet and 3" Outlet
Overall Size 31"x 18"x 4"
Core Size 24" x 18" x 4"
Does not fit E-Series. Boots are black in color.

Intercooler Kit
To start off with I am very happy with this Intercooler kit and how well it does work keeping the EGT’s down. That being said when I went to install it the top bracket that holds the Intercooler in place and stabilized it had holes drilled on the end. The problem was those didn’t match up and there also wasn’t enough material to just drill new holes. I called FullForce and they were very helpful and professional and worked with me to come to a solution. After that small hick up everything went very well with the install and I couldn’t be happier with the overall performance of this product and also the killer look back behind the grill. I would recommend this product and FullForce diesel should have the bracket issue fixed by the time you’re reading this so go ahead and order it. If you want to see pictures of how it will look follow me on IG @ThatSexy7.3

Way Cooler
Great product needs a little finessing for a good fit but worth it, 300 degrees cooler than before.

7.3 intercooler
Good product and works good. The top intercooler mounting bracket did not fit with the holes on the intercooler so had to fab my own. None of the bolts came in the kit so had to use my own. I probably looked like a crazy person looking for them. Had problems with alignment off the turbo had to put a slight bend in it. Happy with it in the end but needs some slight improvement.

Great Kit
Bought this kit for my 97 7.3 and I love it. Installation was fairly straight forward. Requires a decent amount of trimming but nothing too crazy. Biggest issue I found is that they don't supply any bolts for mounting the intercooler so you need to find your own. Other than that I love it. Looks great and definitely brought my EGTs down. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Seems to work well
Overall seems to be a solid kit. Install went pretty smoothly. I had to source a few bolts myself, and it pile my clear my S&B filter (easily fixed with a napa 6637 replacement), but other than that wasn’t bad. I installed a new chip at the same time, so can’t speak for exactly how it effected the truck, but I’ve noticed EGTs drop a lot quicker now, and they aren’t as high on big hills. I have yet to put it to a real test, though. That being said, I’d buy it again.
